Summary0000811: Display size warning on signatures which might violate forum rules
DescriptionThe ARC forum (which is one of the main areas where SigServer signatures are likely to be used in the future) has a maximum size limit for signature images of: 468x136

It might be a good idea to display a small warning box at the top of the signature edit page whenever the currently selected background pic exceeds that size limit.
i.e.
"Notice: The selected background image has a size of NNNxNNN pixels and NNN kB.
Some forums may not allow signatures of that size.
Known limits:
 * ARC Forum: 468x136, 60kB
"

Limits of other major forums could be added at some later point, if we find out that they see heavy use of SigServer signatures.

I think this request isn't really resolved yet.
The only point where I see the warning is when I change the background of an existing sig to another background which is too big.

I am _not_ seeing:
a) a warning next to the images in the library
b) a warning in the signature background selection dropdown
c) a warning when I create a new signature choosing a large background
d) a warning when I update a large signature

Not sure if we really need all of those, but c) should clearly be done.
And a) and b) are probably also good ideas.

BYe!

The special treatment regarding AnimeReactor's signature rules might have made sense ten years ago when ARC, where AniDB had spun off in the first place, was probably still a bustling place of discussion. That isn't really the case in this day and age anymore; many people using AniDB these days have probably never heard of AnimeReactor and might be using the signatures in all kinds of different sites, yet it remains the only one to get first-class support.

While I won't be implementing such messages to other views, I'll keep the current messages in the signature editor view intact for now. Users are advised to check the rules of the sites they intend to use the signatures in either way rather than rely on what SigServer reports.
