Summary0001368: incorrect display of ui elements [applet]
Descriptionthe "Set State" list element appears shrinked under Ubuntu Linux 8.10 + Firefox 3.0.5 + sun-java-bin 6-10-0ubuntu2 + sun-java-jre 6-10-0ubuntu2

shrinked means that you can only see the first character of the word in every line, which makes the set state function quite hard to use unless you knew where was "On HDD" for example if you have seen it from windows for example

I'll try to fix this issue but since I don't have any kind linux system,
I can only guess what the cause might be.

Could you post a picture of it?
That might help to find the issue.

Ah it seems that there is a different default fontsize and buttonsize in linux.
I'll specify them and hopefully it solves that issue.

I'll post here again if the changes should have taken effect.

necrologist:
Try this one and if its still borked post a screenshot again:
http://arokh.dnsalias.org/AniDB/AniAddUI.html
At least the text in the table should fit height wise.

(It is just the UI so it us normal that nothing "works")

please mark this issue solved, because:

this "bug" is caused by open-jdk an alteranative jre instead of sun's,
which is used by default on 64bit Ubuntu linux systems at this moment, it's not really a bug, just a difference in element looks,

changing the default jre to sun's solves this issue, and with the release of java6update12 (64bit "beta" support) it shouldn't cause a problem

(update 13 or 14 will be the real stable support for 64 bit java by sun)

Ok Deed is done, issue is set to resolved
*proudly uses his new gained powers*

Anyway the UI could use an overhaul.
Maybe also change it from an applet to a WebStart app.
Ah well thats another issue for another time.
