| Description | I once again forgot to make a tracker item of my ideas regarding the issue of making users to create more actual topics for anime and not to use the comments every time. This is mostly a copy of what I wrote in this thread: http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=cmt&post=69216 I left some of the suggestions out in here cause I can't spec it currently. - On show=main, the AniDB latest section, replace New Files with "New Anime Discussions". New Files is useless, not gonna add "imo" here, it really us useless considering the amount of files added daily. Showing there new forum threads added to the Anime section (not comments) should help. - On a user's myplace page, replace "My latest files" with "Forum topics for anime I've seen" where there would be the list of latest topics of anime that the user either has marked as watched in his mylist or on which he has given a vote for (either temp or perm). Latest files isn't quite useless of a list to have, but I think it's not as desirable as forum topics in case of usage since most users don't add files and it's quite accessible from the Latest tab. For users that don't maintain a mylist nor vote, it'd be useless, but I have a feeling those users aren't really adding any files either. But having the latest forum topics list in myplace would certainly be the place I'd keep track of those topics myself. I'm ashamed to say that I didn't think of the solution DerIdiot implemented (Newest Discussions), that's pretty good, not sure yet if it should be made hideable as a tab by users in what arokh/dvdkhl is working on. | ||||
