Summary | 0001599: Display poll results better for polls where multiple items may be voted for
Description | Polls where you can, for example, vote for anywhere from 0 to all options do not display the results optimally in the bar graph and percentages. The poll numbers for each item are calculated incorrectly (IMO), as they should be divided by the total number of people voting, and not the total number of votes. If, for example, you have a poll with three people voting and a total of 30 votes, the top answer with 3 votes will only show 10% instead of 100% and there will be a lot of wasted space in the bar graph. See this poll for an example: http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=cmt&id=20375&poll.result=1 If we don't want to change the behavior of all polls, adding an option for polls to calculate percentages by voter instead of by votes would work.
