Summary | 0001914: Favorites rearranging method gets you banned
Description | When rearranging favorites, a user has the option to "move up" or "move down" entries by one place. When someone has a lot of favorites (at least 15 of the same type) in random order, arranging them can easily require enough clicks to get user banned for 15 minutes.
Steps To Reproduce | Log in, Go to "my place", Go to "add/edit favourites", Click on "move up" or "move down" until banned (may be around 50 clicks)
Additional Information | As mentioned by pelican, the mechanism of moving items up or down one place with each request is ridiculous. It could just work as the re-arrange list boxes found in the customize table layout page for an anime page, which work with javascript until the user commits the changes.

This is really two separate issues: a false positive by the banning routine, and a commentary on the UI design. Given that, even with a JS solution to favourite organizing, the current web-based interface would remain available to those users who prefer not to use JS, I've made some changes to the banning functions to make it a little more friendly toward such behaviour. These will go live with the next update. |
