| Description | Category Search (show=genren) permits filtering by the following criteria: Ignore Exclude MIN +, *, *+, **, **+, *** Ignore is a default state no-op. The MIN criteria ensure that a given category is present with at least the specified weight. The Exclude criteria ensure that a given category is *NOT* present (ie, MAX 0); however, the other MAX filters are missing: MAX +, *, *+, **, **+ Consequently, category searches are more generic then necessary, and it takes more time and bandwidth to isolate and identify those entries that match MAX criteria. | ||||
| Additional Information | Feature Request: Add MAX +, *, *+, **, **+ filters to Category Search. Note *** is not listed as _is_ MAX, and would work very similarly (if not identically) to Ignore. | ||||

this isn't making much sense either. why would anyone want to restrict the upper boundary of a search. that's like saying i only want some porn, but not all of it. the usage of that is limited at best |

More like saying that one is willing to tolerate something, but only to an extent. For example, citing the sarcastic definition on the wiki: Nudity MAX +: I don't object to ankles, but don't go further than that The intended (and presumably typical) use case would be to refine a MIN query. For example: MIN Comedy **+ MAX Nudity + Funny comedies, limited to those without nudity beyond an ankle |
