The only way you know what size of text the user can read well is by their default settings. If the CSS uses units of pt or px, then the text can be too small for the user to read. Instead, use the units of 'em' with a multiplier > 1 or the 'rem' unit. Browsers can enforce a minimum font size to work around bad web site design, however using the minimum size often causes formatting glitches such as in the attached picture. |
