why would anyone ever care about page 1000 and beyond... |

I can actually think of use cases for that, but they're not really relevant, so I don't disagree, but the button taking you to page 1001 exists nevertheless. Either the lack of pages 1001 and beyond is a bug, or the button leading from page 1000 to page 1001 is one. It depends on what the intention was. |
