Description

As I understand it, using the recently added “Comment For Mod” input box when modifying tags should enter its contents as a message in any resulting creq.


This has failed for me for these two creqs: https://anidb.net/c8192264 and https://anidb.net/c8193893.


This report is very specific as these are the only cases I tested. It might very well be that the issue is not exclusive to episode tags or to tag deletions. Hinoe tested doing weight edits and https://anidb.net/c8192264#msg16521700 it worked in that case.

Steps To Reproduce
  1. Go to a “Add/Delete Entity Tags” for an episode.

  2. Use the “Edit Tags” tab to delete a single assigned tag, leaving the “Tags” text box empty.

  3. Write a single‐line “Comment For Mod” without any markup.

  4. Click the “Edit Tags” button.

  5. The review|confirmation page loads, with the “Comment For Mod” input box still present and editable, holding the comment written in the previous page.

  6. Click the “Edit Tags” button.
Additional InformationAs a wild guess, it might be that the comment is getting overwritten by the “automatic deletion request based on massadd” one that is added automatically too.

I did some testing with anime on dev. The issue is only applicable to del-type creqs; it does not happen with add-type and edit-type creqs, and cmt-type creqs are not issued by that page. Furthermore, it happens both on the text edit and on the GUI.
