I don't know what it's actually called, but what I'm referring to is whatever image is being pulled, when those services that grab the metadata off a link and give you a snippet of info similar to the snippet Google provides, as per screenshot for example. It's the same as when Twitter shows the metadata from a link in the preview snippet. |

Regarding link preview, it looks like our <head> HTML tag doesn't have an Open Graph image meta property defined, ie: <meta property="og:image" content="https://img7-us.anidb.net/pics/anime/162148.jpg"> So somehow when it generates a preview for ch70419 it uses the image for ch51467 instead (maybe because they are linked guises?). More generally, not every service seems to generate a link preview. For example Discord does not generate a link preview at all when an AniDB link is posted (image, text, or otherwise); other sites like Wikia posted into Discord work fine. |
