| Description | Right now, the images for anime entries are copied over from the image server on first use of that anime's image in any context, and if we already have a copied image for an anime, the main server is never asked if that image has been replaced with another one. That means outdated images can stay lingering there forever – in the worst case, that image may be some temporary logoart only image or magazine scan from the time the first trailer episode appeared.
The cached images should be made to expire after a reasonable time, or even be replaced automatically if we have an easy way of detecting that through the dedicated SigServer API. |
