| Summary | 0000952: Lose the "Open in new window" feature for wiki links | ||||
| Description | Some links (those with certain rel attributes, usually wiki and forum related) on anidb open in a new window upon click. This is not terribly usable (I'd like to control my own browsing experience) and rather annoying. Besides the fact that this is not recommended, this "feature" is not being applied consistently and relies on JS to boot. Disabling this will make the site cleaner, more usable and also enable it to adhere to XHTML Strict standards. If this feature is deemed essential, instead of adding a target="_blank", add an external link indicator (not unlike the one you find on Wikipedia) via JS + CSS. | ||||
