| Description | Language preferences aren't currently applied to audio-only files. The "Hide audio only releases on anime page" simply displays all of these files. A separate profile option for preferred language for audio-only files would be useful in this case. The current audio/sub options seem to work in conjunction with each other and wouldn't necessarily apply to audio-only raws. Alternatively a single option of preferred user languages could solve this - e.g. specifying English would filter out all files not containing either English audio or subs. | ||||

The solution that comes immediately to mind for me is -- have virtual languages for the language list, such as: For audio: "(no audio)" For subtitles: "(no subtitles)" This would allow explicit inclusion of audio-only and/or subtitle-only files. Only shortcoming I can think of is if a user wants restrictions on the audio language when there are subtitles, but wants all raws (regardless of audio language) (or, theoretically, the opposite case). I don't think my proposal would address user's who want what I just described, if they ever care about the audio language. I guess you could add: "(no subtitles - ignore audio language preferences)" and "(no audio - ignore subtitle language preference)", too. That would cover all the bases, I think, although it might require a bit more logic in queries and/or user settings fields in the database. |
