| Description | I've recently bought the DVDs of School Rumble, and so I wanted to add generic files accordingly. Unfortunately, because the WF fansubs were already in mylist, the "have you seen this? add up to episode" dialog is hidden, meaning that I had to check each episode. It would seem to me that there would be a fair number of people who buy DVDs after watching fansubs, and thus need to do the same thing. | ||||

xchiamiov, currently the "have you seen this? add up to episode" dialog is hidden on some specific situations. If we agree to your idea of mass-adding generic files even if all episodes are already in list, then many people will feel this feature at the bottom of the page is annoying because it would be always there, even after watching all the fansubs. |

I agree with your analysis of the situation, except I would think that there would be more people wanting it there than not wanting it. In particular, with all of the other things on the page, I wouldn't think that the addition of something extra at the bottom would be bothersome to most people. Of course, as I have not done any usability testing or the such on AniDB users, I cannot pretend to know what the population as a whole prefers. This is all based on my speculation, personal feelings, and experience with other sites. |
