| Description | By the looks of it there are 2 conditions that are set to require manual handling by a mod, but which don't need for a mod to get involved at all. The first is MP3 CBR values other than mod8 (128, 160, 192 etc.). The most common MP3 encoder is LAME and it's totally capable of creating CBRs with bitrates other than mod8, so whenever there's a creq on hold cause of that, the mod wouldn't really do anything else than just grant it, cause it's normal. So I'd like this condition to be removed and avdump creqs shouldn't be put on hold only because of this. The 2nd is the CRC change, it's common for tards to add the wrong CRC as well as via the massfileadd where crc is taken from the filename. So the CRC is changed and quite possibly the CRC status is also set to unknown, so what? Why should a mod check that, there's nothing to investigate there, it's just hitting the grant button and be done with it, it is the correct CRC for that file afterall. This should also be removed as one of the reasons for a hold-up of avdump creqs. | ||||

MD5/SHA1 changes also block autogrants, in addition to CRC. I'd like to remove those two as well. Comments? Do users ever actually enter SHA1 hashes in the first place? |
