Summary | 0002021: Multiple watched files on same episode on a non-finished series cause false stalled status
Description | Having multiple watched files on a single episode cause the cron sometimes to set an the "last watched" date for an anime to a wrong date. It seems to happen sometimes but not always. This leads to a series falling mistakenly into "stalled" status automatically. As far as I know, having two files in the same episode but only one marked as watched does not cause this problem.
Steps To Reproduce | 1. Mark files for a subset of episodes of a series as watched, with at least two files for one of the episodes. 2. Mark another file as watched on a different day. 3. After the cron update, observe the dates shown on the anime status tooltip. If the bug occurs, the date is stuck to the date of step 1 instead of showing the date of step 2.
Additional Information | Examples on my mylist at the time of writing: * Pokémon Diamond and Pearl - says "watched 0 times, first time from 03.03.2012 to 24.05.2012" even though ep. 134 was watched on 07.03.2013 * Space Brothers - says "watched 0 times, first time from 09.04.2012 to 24.09.2012" even though ep. 47 was watched on 05.03.2013 In both cases, the watching period end date is the date which has more than one watched file per episode (f370450 and f759647 in ep. 47 for PMDP, f1135932 and f1136702 in ep. 25 for Space Bros.). PMDP has been this state for a long time, while Space Bros. worked correctly until very recently.

Update: The stats update from about two hours ago set Space Bros. to its correct state and last watched date again even though no files from the series were touched at all since the earlier update. So, it doesn't seem to be consistent even if it decides to go haywire. (The Pokémon entry is still stuck like always). |
