Summary0002102: Resources: Add parsing for https links from wikipedia
DescriptionWikipedia forces HTTPS while logged in. Copypasting links for resources to AniDB is a hassle cause you have to remove the s form HTTPS-links everytime. This could be done automatically.

Basically, what he's saying is on the resources entry page, auto-parse "https://" to "http://" since lots of websites default to https now.

[ 01:58:27 ] [ ~DerIdiot ] where is cdb-man when i want to strangle and/or scream at him
[ 01:59:13 ] [ +Artemis-kun ] working on school-related nonsense, I suppose
[ 01:59:46 ] [ +Artemis-kun ] what did he do?
[ 02:00:07 ] [ +Starwhite ] reset the update timer on stats, that should summon him
[ 02:00:14 ] [ +Artemis-kun ] haha
[ 02:01:51 ] [ ~DerIdiot ] commenting on anythign and everythign even when he has no idea what he's talking about
[ 02:02:21 ] [ ~DerIdiot ] if i aska very specific question in a feature request i expect a very specific answer and not some nonsense from some random person
[ 02:02:22 ] [ +Artemis-kun ] Ah. I can see why that would be problematic
[ 02:02:44 ] [ ~DerIdiot ] http://tracker.anidb.net/view.php?id=2102
[ 02:04:33 ] [ ~DerIdiot ] i'Ve seen enough wikis where the link format for http and https variants have been fundamentally different. basically the http version being shorthand and the https being full blown with all the php nonsense
[ 02:04:46 ] [ ~DerIdiot ] so yes i expect a proper reply and notr that nonsense

*sigh* you people are so useless...

the current link format wikipedia uses is:

http://<lang>.wikipedia.org/wiki/<resource>
https://<lang>.wikipedia.org/wiki/<resource>
http://<lang>.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=<resource>
https://<lang>.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=<resource>

the https links used to be:
https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/<lang>/w/index.php?title=<resource>

why is it so hard to give proper bug reports/feature requests. if you want something be specific.

For official Japanese wiki page, I once copied the https link, saw it wasn't accepted, changed https to http and it linked correctly to the page afterwards. When you say you've seen enough wikis, do you mean the 3rd party wikis, or the official wiki. Since we only ever link to the official wiki.

Edit: OK, they now use the <lang>.wikipedia URLs with https as well. Never seen the other version.

Not fixed for Tag Resources

Eg:
Trying to add
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asia
to
https://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=addresource&tagid=2834
gives a parsing error.
