Related, somewhat.

Additional bit of information: if you search for "keyword1 AND keyword2", the search documentation says it's treated as a binary AND, but what effectively happens is that "and" is treated as a search term and the terms are joined by a binary OR, effectively becoming "keyword1 OR and OR keyword2" instead. I haven't tested the plus and minus signs to see their actual effect.

Possibly related, but the boolean operator issue appears to apply to full text search. Is it the same search engine in both cases? If not, I'll test further and open a new issue.
