Summary	0000025: Avoid ghost accounts made for voting
Description	UID 57712 to 57718 registered and voted 10 for elfenlied. We should place a system that discourage people from doing so. I guess (and I tested at another forum) the best way is to forbid voting for certain time after account creation, say 1 week or a month. This way people won't take their time to do this and pollute our database. :) We can also make a process to correct these kind of pollutions by applying something like: (no mylist && votecount == 1 && vote ==1 or vote ==10 => delete) by DerIdiot

Amour 2005-01-04 15:20 reporter ~0000096	Ninjamask, there are some websites dedicaced to create temporary email addresses. You can create an infinite number of them just using random numbers. For example, [randomnumber]@[mydomain.name] will all redirect to spam@[mydomain.name]. Easy, isn't it ? Then you can have robots that will automatically CONFIRM that this random email address is valid. Those robots can fill maybe 50 registration forms every minut. The only way to stop them is asking to manually copy some random text displayed in a picture. This, robots cannot do it.

OnegaiNL 2005-02-26 17:29 reporter ~0000239 Last edited: 2005-02-26 18:10	how about resetting all the votes there have been from now? might be annoying at first, but if you msg everyone that they have to re-vote and if they abuse it again... lose the ability to vote or IP-ban? i had some ridicilous votes too, but i changed them all :P some series are 10 now average rating changed from 9.2 to 7.03 lol

egg 2005-02-27 06:13 reporter ~0000261	I think the best way of handling this is to set certain requirements for a users votes to count for the overall statistics (similar to the anime hint: min # of anime in mylist, min number of votes), this would make it a lot harder to generate extra accounts that would be able to have their votes tallied.
