| Description | Currently this is not possible. It's not uncommon for singers to occasionally voice some characters (see Yui below). It's also not uncommon for a singer to have a seiyuu role but purely for the singing parts only (see Athena Glory below) For example: I cannot add Kawai Eri: https://anidb.net/cr3917 As a seiyuu for Athena Glory: https://anidb.net/ch8506 Eri was the singing voice for Athena. Another example: Singer LiSA: https://anidb.net/cr17439 Was added as a seiyuu for Yui: https://anidb.net/ch15118 Even though this is not possible. Looking at the creq history, trickzter had to cheat to do it, by temporarily making LiSA a seiyuu, adding the relation, then removing the seiyuu. That's not the point; in many of these cases, the singer is NOT doing any voice-acting. For example, Kawai Eri is ONLY the singing voice, and does 0 voice acting for Athena, as well as 0 voice acting for any other character. Calling Kawai Eri a seiyuu wouldn't be correct; she needs to be linked to characters (Athena in this example) without also being called a seiyuu in the DB. ... unless you are saying the AniDB policy in this case, is to edit Kawai Eri to seiyuu regardless of the above? Do we have a policy on this? |
