| Summary | 0003583: A "stalled" ongoing anime keeps coming back as "watching" | ||||
| Description | I started watching https://anidb.net/anime/18896 until I set it to "stalled" as the anime is still ongoing. At some point it reversed itself back to "watching". I did few back-and-forth with this anime but here it is, again, in my watching list. I will set it to "stalled" when I post this issue and we will see. | ||||

I didn't check every day but here it is, set as "watching" like if nothing happened. |

https://wiki.anidb.net/Liststates Watching - You have episodes of this anime in your mylist, and have marked one of them watched within the last 3 months. Stalled - You have episodes of this anime marked watched in your mylist, but did not mark any of them watched within the last 3 months. State - select the state that you want to change the anime to. Note Only useful for setting anime as dropped or regular, otherwise the state will just be automatically updated later by the system. I can't see when you last marked an episode watched for that anime, but are you sure this is a bug and not simply the system working as designed? Edit: Also: Note States will always be overwritten, except for the dropped state as outlined below. |

I said it went from stalled to watching. Also the dates of my posts are 10-06 and 10-10. Only four days went by. The watched dates are 2025-08-04 for episode 1 and 2025-08-06 for episode 2. As you can see, I didn't bump that anime with new watched episodes in two months. I put back the anime as stalled instead of dropped. We will see. |

that's intentional: https://wiki.anidb.net/Liststates all states except for dropped are automatically applied and it's pointless to manage manually as you are fighting against windmills. |
