Summary0000493: It is possible to not leave a comment when voting on reviews.
DescriptionIt happened to me a few times, when I have received a vote, with a blank comment. After trying it myself, it turns out that if you add 1 single space to the textbox, it accepts it as a comment.

I would suggest to add a start-limit of i.e. 3-5 characters. With less characters I don`t think there`s any use of casting a vote with text.
Additional Informationhttp://anidb.info/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=animeatt&aid=1327#4100 is one of the reviews with a vote which doesn`t have any text.

If this is a reminder-feature rather than enforcement, I could do this in js.

Reminder-feature? What do you mean?

I was just trying to say that it shouldn`t be possible/allowed to just send over a space as a comment just because you don`t want to say anything. Then at least write something like 'good review' or 'bad review' or so, or we could`ve just stuck to that old yes/no button.

he means "remind you that you have accidently entered an empty comment"
enforcement would be the bootkick for entering that.

Nope, you cannot cast a vote without a comment. But if you intentionally add a space, it works. So I dare to say that anyone doing it is doing it intentionally.

But it also lets me 'cast a vote' if I leave the comment "OMFG!!! U SUCK SOOOOO MUCH!!!". If the intention of this request is to make people enter useful comments, I don't think there's a programatic solution.

Well, when someone leaves me an 'OMG!! U suck soooo much!' comment, I can at least complain due to the message content :P

But no, I didn`t mean I want USEFUL comments, I would like to see AT LEAST a comment. Whether or not the comment is useful is a different thing and prone to subjectivity as well.
