You dont have to pre-create the thumbnails. Just create them on-request and then store them. (http://www.imagemagick.org) |

Well, precreating thumbnails is needed for other areas of anidb as well. Do we have a tracker entry for that already? This entry should probably be marked as related to that one then. Concerning dynamic generation with caching. While this approach is possible it would put more load on the server. Which is why I'd rather pregenerate the thumbnails in different sizes. After the initial generation, thumbnails could automatically be generated on image upload. |
