But then what about files released by group without official CRC - they will be not counted. Maybe rather: count only 1 for each group/anime/episode/version group (if there will be more than one in such group most propably only one is correct and even it would be 2 or more versions of file floating in net only one would be counted - you dont have to know which of them is official). |

Can't do that, there are files where groups have released 2 versions of the same episode without having one of them as v2 (like static-subs releases 1 'LQ' and 1 'HQ' version, although the only difference is the bitrate size which is stupid, but ehat can you do). I know what you mean by files without the possiblity to get the CRC checked, but because of the reason I stated, we have no choice but to count them. So for now, just ignoring crc incorrect files will have to do. |

just count only 1 file per episode. that is not that hard to do. all you got to is just to check if there is a file for that episode and then count the eids instead of the fids. after that rename "most files" to "most episodes" and "episode released" this makes more sense imho. could also stick both counts in the grouppage see also http://www.anidb.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4895 which wants the versions not get counted, but like nwa pointed out that's not really doable. even the crc incorrect counter would fail as there are various files not tagged correctly. episodecounter would just be more precise |
